That is why I used the pro-jecton. It doesn't need to control RPM. I know it's a very primative TBI setup that requires adjustments from winter to summer.
From what I've seen it is MUCH easier than trying to make a OEM TBI setup work correctly on an odd fire. If I wanted SFI or Port Injection I'd just swap in a differant motor to begin with.

So what intake manifold did you use with the Holley kit? Did you use an aftermarket 4bbl or a 2 bbl(like off a 77 olds omega 3.8 )? Did you use the standard 2D computer or did you use the 950 series? Can you use the 950 series? I have the projection kit and want to do this swap on my 225 for a class project, but have been told by Holley that it won't work. I keep hearing both, which is it?

    Goose,

You would use a 4 BBl manifold. I think the 950 would be way to big. I am using the 670 unit (2 BBL) with 80 pph injectors on my 4.3 Chevy V6. You would use whichever controller come with the throttle body. There are several different Holley systems. 2DI for the 2 BBL, 4DI for the 4 BBL. There is the older analog system which I use, the newer digital sytem, plus a bunch of different injector flow rates to fine tune the system.
For what it's worth Holley also told me that their system wouldn't work on my V6 either, but it does. I can't complain at all. It has great throttle response. I don't think the fact that it's an oddfire is going to have much affect on operation since it's not a port injection type system.

I used an OFFY 4bbl manifold on my 225. I have the older analog (w/knobs) 2D system. I had to decrease the fuel pressure and play with the TPS to get it to work well. The only gripe I have is it runs like a carb when cold (coughs and loads up if you let it sit and warm up while you go back in the house and make coffee) and is a little rich when merging onto the freeway. If you give it more than 90% throttle while merging it'll start to miss a little (I am pretty picky). Other than that it's the best upgrade I've made.
I don't know if the digital systems will work or not. I did it just to spite the Holley engineers! Nener Nener!

So are these 4bbl manifolds dual or single plane? How much taller are they? (I have a flatfender M38, don't want to hit the hood) Does the HEI distributer clear without any problems?
Thanks for all your help guys.

Not to many 4BBl choices for the 225. I would stick with a dual plane if possible (better low end), but I think either one would work. If your concerned with clearance, keep it a low rise. HEI will be fine, as there are several here that run them in :v6: flatfenders.

So where are you guys mounting the computer for this system? My main concern is water, the river crossings at Fordyce can get pretty deep and I'd hate to have my computer dump on me in the middle of a river.

My dash is custom built. I basically have panels, instead of one long dash panel. I built a flat plate for it to sit on, behind where the old glove box door would be. When it rains the water dumps right on top of the ECU...not good. You might want to consider making a waterproof box to put it in. Out here we don't have much in the way of water crossings, but the heavy rains we had wreaked havoc with it.

I removed my glovebox to mount an extra heater. I mounted the ECM on its side right next to the heater. Makes a clean install and its easy to adjust, you just flop the door open.

I used a Holley #322 Street Dominator manifold w/ my pro-jection. It's a single plane unit...but so is the stock 225 2bbl. manifold. You can find all sorts of different Buick V-6 manifolds for all sorts of different prices on ebay.
