Hello everyone I am back after a spell but I have a question. I purchased this set of springs from a fellow member a while ago and I would like to know which spring is front and rear. I am replacing my Dana 25 and 44 5.38 geared military axles and leafs and replacing with Dana 27 and 44 4.27 geared axles and after market springs. I will try to post pictures of the springs so they can be identified. Thanks and happy veterans day to all the veterans who served and enjoy their Jeeps on and off-road.

I did over 20 years in the Army and would not trade the experience for anything. Started out in military intelligence and ended up in the Corps of Engineers. Thanks for your comments. I would like to help you on your spring issue, but I too, am having issues along these lines. Once I get my Jeep on the road, I may have to make some mods. I am afraid I will suffer kidney damage just from driving on hardtop, let alone off-road...

On my 1970 D27 front and D44 rear, the rear springs are a few inches longer than the front. Would think that would be the easiest way to differentiate unless I am completely mis-remembering this.

On my '71 the 9 leaf were front and 5 leaf was rear. I think Fino is right the front is a little longer.

The rear springs will be longer.
