Maybe someone put Omix-Ada spiders in it and the splines on the axle wiped out the splines inside the gears. I think you're going to need to pull the shafts regardless.

Who's the Wheelie beeg dummy Now?
Keep in mind I have worked with a few lockers before and one spider gear as a teenager.
When you said this a light bulb went on in my small brain.
    OPEN DIFFERENTIAL!!!!
I thought that the right rear always had power. WRONG!!!
I thought the spiders where stationary. WRONG AGAIN!!!
    O for TWO
So I went and jammed the left rear tire. Then turned the driveshaft and BAM!!! The right rear tire spins.
So Glad You Guy's can Help Fix Stupid!!!
I will now make my way back to right field with my head hug.

I was a bit confused by your first post, I decided to keep my mouth shut. It sounded like everything was fine.
Going to right field or returning to the corner of your room, same thing.

You know - stupid problems are easier to fix than expensive ones... I'll take stupid over expensive any day :D
