    Jim,
Not sure where you are located, but check out CRGSLST, Wareham, MA, $250 for a full soft top, maybe could be cut and re-sewn??? http://southcoast.craigslist.org/pts/4840690807.html Its been listed for months, you might do a little better on his asking price.

Here are some pictures of our old canvas half cab. I pulled it out from under a pile of rubbish in a local barn a few years ago. I intended to use it on one of our Jeeps but my wife cannot be around that musty old canvas. So, it sits on the shelf. No plans to sell it. I'll probably find something to use it on eventually.

In Ct I need to take a good look at a mounted full top before I get too far.

1955 cj5 is a good friend, I've seen his top, it is very nice. If you want a canvas top it would be the way to go if you can swing the cost. As for warmth and comfort, I think a canvas half cab and a good aftermarket heater (see Summit Racing) would keep you toasty warm, in CT or ID. Got your pm, will keep you in mind.

That looks like my exact half cab that I have jbjeeps. you might just have not set them up for the pictures but I don't see the smaller diameter rods that are verticle just behind the door and the horizontal small rods that are just above the doors. Do you have those? if not I can measure mine and give you dimensions of those smaller rods
