Need some ignition help please

The seat was smaller in diameter than original but orifice was the same size. I would say the last tweak would keep the float level with the top housing or pretty dang close. I dont remember ever changing the carb but it could have been replaced over the years. I dont know which numbers indicate model but these were on the float or main housing...1538 and 938SD.

Fire extinguisher is parked by the front wheel / driver side.
