Alum hard top installation questions

i have a 72 cj5 that i bought a alum top for, i have the top and doors and rear hatch i also have 2 flat parts that sort of match the angle of windshield but they are long and stick a little above windshield. installing a hardtop is not as simple as i thought on a cj5, does anyone know where i can find installation instructions ? i have tried a search on here but came up no results, thank you for helping

 

Aluminum top? What brand? Pretty sure no one was making aluminum tops as late as 1972. Can you post pictures and point out the issues that you have?

Here are some Jeep tops that you can compare to. http://cj3b.info/Hardtop.html In 1972, pretty much the whole top market was served by Meyer, which only made steel tops. Koenig and Kelly may have still been in business.

 

po of top said he pulled it off a 69 cj5, best i can tell from what i have found online it is a sears top has slide up and down windows the main problem is i am not sure how the door parts go on to body of jeep

 

like tim said a picture would help . windshield filler pieces do extend pass curve of windshield frame . but that's a meyers top

well started putting hard top on today got it all figured out and i do not have the part that mounts top to windshield so i will have to make that part would be good to know what it looks like if anyone could post a picture it would be helpful i still cant post pictures thanks in advance

 

Do you have a camera? Post pictures. There were many different makers of Jeep tops.

got the factory insulation out of top today what is good to use to replace insulation ??
