need front brake hoses for 66CJ5. Dana 27 is out of jeep. old hoses are 20" long but the napa replacements are 10".
it has big brakes. did the brake conversion require long hoses? any thoughts?

Get some made up at a hydraulics shop.

20" seems awfully long though- understand that these thing do swell a bit under pressure & that does affect pedal feel, the longer they are the more you'll notice them.

The 10" does seem short however but that's the length listed in the parts manual.

If I remember correctly I used ones from a mid '70 Cj or commando that had drums and they were long enough for the 3" lift.

    thank you both.
think ill install the axle assembly.
should be able to estimate min hose length by simulating articulation

I just changed to disk on my 66. The old lines I removed were 13 inches end to end. I have no idea if they were original, but it still had the 9 inch brakes.

Parts stores don't realize they are selling the wrong part for the 66 brake line, I had to get them made at a hydraulic shop. Funny, it was cheaper than what the flap stores wanted. Something to consider.
