I decided to bend it to get a better angle at the T-case. ;)

BTW, the pic in my previous post is a video (low res. version) of the engine firing up, no tuning or fiddling. After just over a year of sitting (6 months of which the carb was on a shelf), we changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs, lubed the cylinders, bolted the carb on, ran the electric pump to prime the carb, and she fired up first try. :D

When draining the oil we found the remnants of a destroyed push rod. It must have been hiding somewhere and got knocked loose in the roll, because all the push rods installed are a different style (and intact) and I've had the pan off twice prior. When I saw the pieces I thought the engine was toast.

That Jeep is looking great. Glad you survived.
About 5 years ago my brother and I were at a stop light and a garbage truck smacked some ford bronco in the turn lane and he flipped into a ditch and he died right before the ambulance arrived. Ended up not having on a seat belt.

Well, it has been a couple of months since I last updated this and a lot has changed. She actually looks like a jeep! This is going to be a picture heavy post (or two).

This is the Toyota 4runner clutch slave that I’m using for the hydraulic clutch.

Here’s a pic showing the setup for testing the hydraulic clutch. My friend decided that the rear driveshaft was a bit too ugly – so he painted it yellow. I’m too lazy to change it, so it’ll stay that way.

Here’s the body hanging ready to be set on the chassis.

Brake and clutch masters on with lines (mostly) done

Dash is in with wires through the firewall!

That’s where she is at as of today.
