My hear hard brake lines were basically tied into knots when I got the jeep and I'm trying to tackle that this weekend. Instead of building my own lines I just bought an omix ada set for a cj5 to use the rear axle parts. I got a deal on it, and it was way cheaper than buying a roll of brake tubing and tools.

My question is that I can't be certain which lines I need for the back. Mine are so bad they are useless for reference.

I have a stock CJ6 with a D44 in the rear and 9 inch drum brakes.

I'm specifically looking for which lines go driver and passenger rear side. I thought it would be the one with the large differential hump in it, but then the angle doesn't work with the tee from the main line. If need be I can bend them and make them work, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Omix ada don't have the best reputation. May be a set patterned on a different year than yours?

I'd start by using the shortest lines that will work at each location.

On my 67 with 10" brakes (might be different) there was a T on the rear diff and then two lines that went out from it. One went to the pass. side and one went to the drum on the driver's side.

    Same on my '60.

That line with the hump in it looks more like the one for the front brakes. Which T's off of the drivers side by the steering box.

Here is a rear picture of my '67 CJ6.
If you can enlarge the picture you can make out the T that was refered to and see how it is two individual lines that run from it.[IMG]

That photo is perfect! Mine goes into a tee as well but the originals were shot. That should give me the spacing I need.

    Thanks a lot
