cj6 soft top (bestop)

Well, I finely ordered and received a new top for my cj6. I plan on the install when it warns up soon.

I believe the top I received might be older stock. Does any one know the difference in the older and newer tops? I was told by bestop that they no longer made the doors with windows on the bottom that the new ones only had the upper windows. Also, I see some tops have roll up sides and some have roll back sides. I see the new cj8s have the roll up sides as well.

The bestop I received has roll back sides and the two windowed doors. I though the new ones rolled up like the cj8s do with one window doors. Can any one confirm this? I tried calling bestop but they didn't seem to know for sure?

Any one out there got any info to set me straight?

The only one I have seen on the CJ6 is the roll back sides. My installation is here:

I ended up taking the top off and selling it. Nothing wrong with the top but I just didn't need it here.

I would guess my top was older - less than 5 years or so. The doors had both windows.

 

Seems that bestop has updated the cj8 top but Not the cj6 or they updated both (like they said on the phone) but since the demand for them is low. There's lots of older model out there. I do like the idea of the rollup sides. No big at this point I'm happy to get a top.
