I've been googling for a few weeks now, and have not been able to find a definitive resource on (mostly) Jeep/Buick V-6's and EFI solutions. There are threads here that talk about EFI installs but they need to be searched for.

While I haven't stumbled across explicit "It does fit" threads elsewhere, I have stumbled across this link where an apparent Atomic tech type has doubts that an Atomic EFI setup will work on an odd-fire V6.

So...if you run an EFI, and you don't mind responding in the form of:

    Brand, Model
    Engine
    Intake Manifold used
    How long installed?
    Happy?
    Thoughts/Comments
Link to thread you did or followed

I would like to see what has been done and I'm sure other folks will find the information useful.

(And responses don't have to be limited to Buick V6's)

    Thanks!

Not sure this will help you but in 2008 I installed the Edelbrock's Proflo2 35000 (1000 cfm version) on the 381 cid Gen I sbc in my 3B. That system uses a Victor Jr style single plane manifold and came with fuel rails/injectors and everything else needed (I did swap a few of those pieces out). The Victor Jr and the 1000 cfm rating gave me a lot of heartburn as to what effect it would have on the bottom end torque but it was completely unfounded as it still runs fine at 500 rpm and haven't had a hiccup since it went on. Orders of magnitude better than all the Holley carbs that were on it over 40 years. The Proflo is not a self learner but once you get a handle on it, the flexibility is just outstanding as anything and everything can be changed in real time flying down the road or in the rocks. Lots more options now but it was the best single thing I ever did to an engine.

I'm running a 1995 Chevy 4.3ltr Vortec TBI motor. I've been happy with it.

I'm running a Powerjection II on an oddfire V6. I bought a Offenhauser sq. bore intake for it and beware, I was on my third intake before I got one that didn't have a porous casting that leaked coolant under the throttle body. I would hope that has been rectified since I bought mine 3 years ago. Warloch, on this site, also used the Powerjection on his rig. He had no issues. I had lots of issues with mine. It is a "self learning" system, but I found that I had to make a LOT of adjustments to mine to get it to run well. Not nearly as simple as a carb. That being said, it's incredibly better than a carb for offroad. I have another wheeling buddy that used the Howe FI system on his oddfire. It works for him. You will need a laptop for the Powerjection for initial setup and to make further tuning adjustments.

I added the Affordable Fuel Injection package this winter to a '74 AMC 304 w/ the distributor upgrade. I had some problems getting the distributor installed. Had to have the gear machined to fit over the oil pump shaft. I will be watching to see if it chews up the distributor drive gear. It does run much better than with the carb.

Waggs - got 2 setups running just down the road from you :)

EZ-EFI on one, OK, Its on a stand now, but ready to drop back in. Will take a weekend to put the rig back on the road.
Powerjection III on another - gonna replace it with an EZ-EFI so they are the same and move the Powerjection to the kids Scout or Wife's Mustang. Its in a box in the shop ready to roll.

Both on 225s, Like them both, edge goes to the EZ-EFI, HEI on both, Offy Dual Plane on the EZ-EFI now, Kenne Bell Number One on the Powerjection III setup.

I have a discussion on here http://www.earlycj5.net/forums/showthread.php?65305-FI-a-Dauntless&highlight=Powerjection and more info on my site warloch.com

Best if you just stop by and I can show you...
