Can someone post a detailed picture of what the rear seat and bracket looked like from the dealer. This for my 1971 resto project.

    Thanks Julius

Why not just post up the pictures here, for everyone's benefit? No need to embed if you can't figure that out - instead link to the album.

If you have a Whitco seat, it's aftermarket. The Jeep factory option seat came from Jeep, and was delivered with the vehicle.

This is the best picture I could find -

The seat brackets are made of flat stock, and slide under plates bolted to the floor. There is a spring-loaded pin at the back of the brackets that locks in to the plate on the floor.

I am not sure if mine is factory or not. It has 2 mounts forward that go through the floor and act as pivots. The rear has a quick release to allow it to fall forward.

Wyomike and timgr I just bought one that is the same as the picture timgr posted. I also have the brackets with the spring loaded pins. I think I am set. I also picked up the original speedometer with zero miles on it. NOS.

Flat bar at front that slides under a floor mounted bracket.

Pin with spring at rear. This pin goes through hole in tub.
