    2x on Glenn's coment. I think the MD Juan improvements that you have made in the last two years will remove a lot of the stigma previouslly associated with them in the restoration crowd. With all the changes now completed, it is going to be much more difficult to tell the difference between your's and the stock ones-the ultimate goal.

    When I need stuff, I'll come back to MD Juan products. Panel on drivers firewall for support I used was perfect for what I needed.

    Rommel, on my dash, & every other one I've seen on a CJ, the speedo/guage cluster mounts to the dash with studs that are welded to the back of the dash, not with screws going through holes in the dash.

    If you can't find an unmolested dash, or one you can't fix, the guys near hear at g503.com have ordered parts for me, but they usually do more with other earlier jeeps, not so much the 5/6s... At least that's what I gathered. Great people, good service IMO.

    My dash had a bubba lighter augered in, and some other holes from a vertical police style Smith and Wesson rifle/shotgun holder. I used the welder to close up the small holes. The bubba lighter hole, I clamped a washer to the back and tack welded a bunch of little dots to fill in the hole, then I ran the grinder over it... Other than that, that's the extent of damage mine had seen, well, except where the side tabs cracked off and I rewelded them too.
