That was amazing. Thanks for sharing. I would so love to do this but don't think it's wise to visit some of those country's today.

    What?? Canada??

Just kidding- I know you meant Latin America. It's safer than you think, even places like Nicaragua and Colombia. We had our 3 ninos in Chile, Peru and Ecuador; youngest turned 1 on the way down and oldest turned 5 in Chile. They were really too young to properly travel with but it was a helluva an adventure for those 3 months. The Andes were indeed incredible. Piece of cake for an adult.

Pick up some espanol (or as it is often called, castellano) and drop your fears. And always remember, it's not you as an American they dislike; it's your government they don't care for. Vast difference between the two.

Get out there before you get too old!

They moved the Dakar rally to South America as it was safer than Africa..

Super cool. What an experience. And in mostly stock vehicles? I mean, I see winches and larger tires, etc., but, stock drivetrains, I think, right? Speaks volumes for the vehicles. I'm curious how a band of newer Jeeps would do. They'd be more comfortable, for sure.
