AC bracket for f134

    Ok got a York a/c compressor and I would like to mount it in on the driver side of my 62 cj5 F134.
    Any one have any suggestion as to where to mount a bracket on the motor
    As always your help is appreciated :D

    I will be following this thread closely. I have been seriously considering this mod for my 59 with the fhead as well

    I would say you will have to fab up a bracket that mounts on by the head bolts. maybe something like this power steering bracket.

    Maybe a combination of 2 headbolts and the front manifold bolt. You are going to have to trim any headbolt mount very close on a F head-not much space between the bolts and the valve cover.

    If the generator wasn't on the passenger side, I would relocate the oil filter and use those holes. I doubt you could get enough belt wrap around the generator pulley to put both the York and the generator on the same belt but maybe you can mount the York as close to centerline as possible and miss the generator with a second belt. Maybe time to switch to an alternator anyway. I don't believe I have seen a 6 V version of a York clutch. Just random thoughts.

    I was thinking of two front head bolts and a side bolt like you said close cut.
