Reprint FSM vs. Original FSM

Hi everyone,

I just received my brand new reprinted FSM from Faxon auto literature. It seems to be just what I was looking for except, that some of the copied photo's are so dark that they are almost useless. Faxon offers an original manual for twenty dollars more than the reprint and I'm considering sending this reprint version back (before I get it greasy) and buying the original version (in good condition) in order to get photo's that are clear. My concern is that the original may not be any better. Have any of you had any experience with both the reprinted and the original versions to verify that I won't be wasting my time and money pursuing this swap? Thanks.

 

I've read, here, that your problem is very common with the reprints and that the originals are much better. All of the pictures in my originals are very clear. I'd drop the extra 20 and get an original.

 

Good images are vital.

 

I have had both. I would certainly send it back if you can. I think you will be glad in the long run.

Yep, I have both.........The factory manual is way more better.

 

Thanks for the reply guys. I tried to do a search for this, but as the techno-moron that I am, I never seem to be able to find much. I will call to see about swapping it out for the original. I have only thumbed through this one with clean hands, so it's in new condition and they're making another 20 dollars, so why wouldn't they accept my idea?
