Head boldt torque

    I had a head gasket blow today. I have a gasket coming for tomorrow. But I need the torque for the head bolts. Any one have it ? I am working on a 58 F head. Thanks in advance.. Harlan

    FSM says 60-70 lb-fts. for the F. They must tightened in a specific sequence. Any service manual for your JEEP should have that information. Chiltons, Haynes, etc. though, the factory service manuals are best. If you don't one, I suggest you pick you one up. They are very useful.

    Thanks Wheelie. I have a new odd fire v6 sitting on the engine stand and a sm 420 on the floor to go in after the hunting season is over. That is why I have not picked up a factory service manual. Just want it to run another month or so...thanks again...Harlan
