Brake light problems (and switch location)

That's the reason I said to use a test light because an ohm meter will get you into serious trouble. My experience on switch change is not enough fluid loss or air in to warrant bleeding system. I have done this several times on brake systems. Glad you finally got it going. HooRaah.

Yeah, posted that not as congrats to myself, but to show that even though a switch seems good to go through a multimeter, it could still be bad. I suppose in retrospect that my resistance reading was a bit high, too, since it should have dropped to close to zero with the pedal depressed.

 

Shoulda been zero ohms - no resistance.

 

Thanks for this tip - I'm using this solution for my switch too. I hated that pressure switch and I hate bleeding my brakes.
