I have all new, fuel sender and gauge.
But when I turn on the ignition, the gauge is starting to work, then it stops.

I have checked the ohms, it is correct I have 47 ohms with 3/4 filled
The 2 gauges are connected together as shown.
The sender unit is connected to the good place.

But I see on the sketch that on other wire comes from ignition? What is it?
Is it the reason why the gauge starts and stop?
Where do I get the ignition wire? Without making a short-circuit... Thanks to all:shock:

There's lots of info out on the web about wiring jeep gauges, here's one of the better ones I've found that was put together by a member here -

Note: be very careful when working on your gauges- if the instrument cluster is not properly grounded the instrument voltage regulator that is located within the fuel gauge will not operate properly & the gauges *will* burn out. :(

The ground return for the fuel gauge is a small brass ring in the middle of the back of the gauge. It is between the three studs and it gets it's ground when the gauge is mounted in the housing. The housing must be cleaned to the bare metal at this point when installing the new gauge. The housing also needs to be checked for a good ground at it's four mounting studs from the dash as well as the dash panel must have a good ground to the tub. The tub must have a good ground to the battery negative or to the frame which should have a good ground to the negative battery terminal.

If I may jump in here and ask a question about grounding the cluster. I have been searching where to attach the ground wire from my harness to the speedo. Walt you say that the ground goes to one of the mounting post? did I understand this right?

Sorry for the delay. Missed your post. Yes you can use any one of the four mounting studs holding the speedo housing as your ground point for the dash.
