Radiator/Fan Clearance

    I just want to know approx. how much clearance there should be between the radiator and the fan. I have a 75 CJ5 with a 304 V-8. I'm going to use a stainless steel flex fan. Thanks

    On my 75, it's a touch over 1 inch. Mine is an inline 6, but should be about the same for a V8 I would think.

    Thanks Rusty, I went & bought a thicker spacer & mine is about 1 1/4" away now. I also added a fan shroud too. I'll see if that will help more when I'm out wheeling.
