Front Differential Leaking

    The front differential on my 65 CJ5 is leaking. The leak appears to be coming from the differential cover. It has a "27" cast into it, so I can infer from this that it is a Dana 27. I have a few questions. What type of gear oil should I use? How much will it need, and should I use RTV or a gasket when replacing the differential cover?

    I'd use a gasket with a thin bead of RTV. Make sure the cover isn't dimpled around the bolt holes.
    Oil is just regular ol' 80w-90 gear oil.
