Windshield hold down screws

    I'm replacing the windshield seal and want to re-attach the frame. I don't see what the screws actually screw into. In other words, I have the brackets, and the large screws that you use to tighten the windshield when it's up, but currently there is nothing on the other side for the screw to screw into if that makes sense (where you screw it into the dash side). For reference someone else disassembled the windshield.

    There is a 1 x 2 nut plate on the back side of the dash, when you take off the front plate thay just drop to the floor. some times one will stay on top of the glove box.

    If you don't find them you cn make some out of some 1/8" x 2 flat strap .

    What about the type of screws that hold the brackets, what size are they?

    1/4 20 flat countersunk head. Original were slotted, I replace them with a Phillips head.
