Please be patient, as this is my first Willys. And I just got it a few weeks ago. I'm wondering what the heck these body parts are for. The first is a scoop behind the grill and it vents off to the driver's side of the Jeep. The other is obviously off the back of the body. It's a 62 CJ5. Thanks all!

The scoop would have a 4" flexible duct attached to it that would then go to the heater core box on the drivers side firewall.

Not sure what the bracket on the rear is for but I guess its for an old soft top or some kind of rear rack.

Bracket on the rear is for the rear bow for the original canvas soft top.

I am really thinking about something like that instead of a premade top.....

Looks great! Just need bigger windows.

I really don't like tiger tops or vinyl tops at all. To me, they look like spandex on a Jeep. The canvas has a more "rugged" look. Plus, it has built in half cab, full cab and bikini all in one. ;)

Thanks guys. I too wish my door had bigger windows. Oh well, I don't run it in the winter too much. Mostly the summer with the doors off. :)

Like! To me that looks a lot like the military canvas, which makes total sense.

I have your Jeep's slightly younger brother. '57 CJ5 in the same color and condition. Every time I get close to pulling the trigger on a SuperTop I see one like yours and reconsider. The canvas is such a great look. Is it a Beechwood?

Finally, what tires do you have? They look great too.
