    That is a seriously impressive bumper.
    Does it hang as far as the draw bars they could get from factory?
    (Wait, did the 76 even have a draw bar?)

    If anyone was curious about the size/weight of this bumper/carrier & how that affects the crossmember, here is the solution I used:

    There are two support brackets for each frame rail, one on either side, which when bolted together sandwich the frame rail. These were welding/fabricated in the very beginning (before I did this thread I didn't have pics of them) and were used during the building of the bumper in order to make sure there were no issues with all of the corresponding mounting holes (brackets, crossmember, and bumper).
