I found this 1967 Jeepster Commando half cab in a barn at an orchard near my house just about a year ago. It was all original and very complete so my plan is to restore it completely stock and as original as possible. I figured it's about time I post up some pictures of the very slow progress. So here goes:

The day I discovered it at the orchard:

Looks like you're doing a great job on the resto!
Too bad that old Coke sign was so beat up, that could have paid for a lot of Jeep parts!

That makeshift "floor" could have been worth $$ if it was complete.

I can't take any credit, I have a body shop working on all of the metal. They told me that had blasted and etched the parts.

I know!! It's a heavy duty double sided vintage Coke sign. I am going to clean it up and hang it my garage as a memento.

It's been a while, so I thought I'd post some updated pictures. It's been a slow process. The body shop has had the body for over a year and still isn't done. The only up side to that is I've had plenty of time to come up with the money. Oh, and of course now that he is actually working on it he is way over budget. I had to threaten him with a lawyer because he was saying it was going to cost 75% above the estimate he initially gave me to finish the job. After I told him I talked to a lawyer I got him to agree to a lesser amount, and of course he claims he is going to lose money on the job. I guess he should have done a better job with his estimate. Anyway progress is being made. Here are a few pictures:

Here's an idea of how much rust he had to deal with:

And here's it is patched up and just about ready for the final body work:
