keep 56 or get 68

I'm planning on a new four wheeling machine. I have a mostly stock 56 CJ5. I'm looking at maybe selling it and getting a 68 CJ5. My 56 has a 289 in it, with all stock running gear. The fire wall was cut up to fit the motor with the mechanical fan. The dash is now a P.O. home made one so not original. Rust is not to bad but has rust. Also has a TX2 winch which works but need a new cable, and a koeing hard top. The gas tank is a home made one under the seat, but it goes all the way across the jeep to the passenger side. Saganaw manual steering box, and a dual master cylinder with it being brake and clutch which need replacing.
The 68 I'm looking at is mostly stock with the exception of the motor and transmission, which are a 289 and a top loader 4 speed. No cut fire wall, no winch, power steering and duel gas tanks. Better tub. Been sitting above moist yard. Hasn't ran in 2 years. Rather way I go I'm putting a t18/20, centered 44, and Dana 30. Same style brake clutch master cyl.
Now I've tried selling the 56 no takers. I might try again. The 68 is unofficially not on the market yet for 2500 as is. Any advice?

Keep you 56 for now, purchase & start on the 68. Sale your 56 after you have the 68 on the road and you are sure you don't want to keep BOTH!

42 body shot frame is bad and passenger compartment is small my knee hangs out the side, and I'm tired of the 2.5l Chevy its gutless. To many modifications. Is like to get back simple, I'm more of a bolt on guy not modify everything to fit.
