bfgoodrich sells all terrains 33x9.50 (just checked, still listed) correct rim size is 7.5". I had them put on stock 5.5" rims, ran 20 psi and the sides of the tread never touch the pavement. bought some 7" wagon wheel spokes off 76ish jeep and they still do not touch the sides, close but not quite. No roll cage or skid plates yet, the extra weight will help. Kelsey Hayes 8" might be able to do the hub caps. (these were an option on early 70ish, 4 are for sale in classified at this time). BE ADVISED, KELSEY HAYES 8" RIMS WILL NOT FIT IF YOU DO BRAKE MODIFICATIONS.

Well Curlie, the pics worked, you did it!

    Wow, pretty deep wheels!

    Scolliflower:

Here in York, PA, we have an annual Jeep show by the local club that is pretty big... 600+ entrants, 5000+ in attendance, and a big swap meet/vendor section. Next show is July 21/22.
    More info: www.pajeeps.org
I know I've seen the hubcaps you are looking for frequently at the show, both by vendors and in swap meet area. I'm sure you could find some at the showthis year, besides having a great time. It's a long drive but you won't regret it.
One of the perrenial vendors who is always at the show with LOTS of stuff is Zach of Z&M Jeeps... I know a few years back, Zach bough something like 17 tractor-trailer loads of OEM stuff from defunct dealers. He always has tables full of Jeep hubcaps. I'd suggest you give him a call for these hubcaps. Others to try include Carl Walck and Morris Ratner (google them).

    Hope this helps!!

Just a comment - may be obvious.

The easiest way to get a wide choice of tires is to fit aftermarket wheels. There are lots to choose from, but none I know of that look like the factory wheels.

Here's my CJ-6 with BFG MT 33x10.50-15s and 7" wide ProComp wheels (file photo).

Personally I think the contact pattern is fine considering the tread design for this tire. I think I'm running 18 psi (?) routinely. No need for higher pressures if the footprint is correct. Jeeps aren't very heavy, and with a large tire, it does not take much pressure to get the proper profile.
