Does anyone know where I can find a alternator warning light. I have searched all over the internet with no luck.

It's usually incorporated as a bulb in your speedometer cluster. The OP/Alt gauges were optional in '73, so the light should still be there. Just wire it in like it would have been without the gauges.

You do understand that it's just a bulb in series with the exciter circuit? Here's a rough diagram:

If you don't have a bulb in the cluster to use, get an indicator light from Radio Shack and wire it in. Stick a Dymo label under it, and you're done.

Light on = alternator not charging.

Also be carefull that the whatts of the bulb is not to low.
If it is, the alternator will only excite on higher R.P.M.
This happened to me, but I can't remember what the whatts is or should be.
