Repainting head and valve cover

    Matt, I love your solution. Why not try pennies? They are larger then dimes, smaller then nickels AND the would only cost you 12 cents. If they are to light, just glue two of them together! Now less then a quarter. If you glued 1/4 inch screws to them they would be heavier and self center in the bolt holes.
    Of course, you could buy the ready made dots from any paint store. No fun, and I'll bet they would cost more then a quarter.

    Yeah thanks! I had a stack of pennies nickels and dimes, when the nickels fit like gloves into the spark plug bores, I was sold. I was also concerned about weight, I was afraid the dimes or pennies might slide a bit, which I learned really would not have happened, and good point on the two pennies thing!
    I was pretty stoked about the solution and the outcome overall though. We'll see how much unpainted diameter is exposed once the bolts go back in...
    Dots shmotts. LOL
    later this afternoon I did a dry fit of the valve cover to the head, it looks great!
