OK well this was sort of an impulse buy especially since my Jeep is no where near running.

I got these hubcaps off eBay and they don't fit my wheels. Either my wheels are wrong or the caps are wrong or both. Or maybe these caps are just spread out too far?

    Here are some pics.

Maybe your hubcaps were for a J-truck with a bigger wheel diameter (and tabs) than your CJ wheel.

    They make nice clocks... :)

Possible you have cut-out Ford wheels? I don't see a turned-over edge on the inner hole. A common sub ...

Pretty sure these will fit the 15" Jeep 5 on 5.5" wheels. The 6-lug wheels are slightly different, as I recall, but they are all RWB. Red/gold is earlier, before the 6-lug change.

I don't "think" they are cut off Fords but who knows. The hub hole seems factory to me. I'm actually thinking they are utility trailer wheels cause they look just like my trailers wheels.

I went through that thread last night. I plan to look at mine tonight and see what the deal is with them.

Hub caps look like the ones on the rear of the 1978 Cherokee 4dr wagon I drove in Washington State. Front ones have a whole to clear the center hub.
    Full time 4 wheel drive.

FSJ's, at least the '70's models, sport 6 lug wheels. I also have no idea if the hubcap area is different or not.

And the only CJ's to wear caps were the Surreys, and the CJ5/6A models, right?

My 86 wagoneer had 6 lugs.

I'm not sure about the cj5's but i'm not really restoring mine anyways,

Later caps, for FSJ 6 lug wheels - red, white blue.
Earlier caps, for FSJ 5-lug wheels - red, white, gold.
    Not interchangeable.

I have the same style caps in RWB for my J-10. I can measure the inner diameter tonight if needed. They'll be different from the ones pictured above.

I had the same issue. My wheels are like yours. they take the later blue/red caps that have the plain JEEP logo. Plain as in no little circles at the top or end of letters. plain block style letters. Those caps are just a 1/4" or so smaller and should fit your wheels.

    Here's the RWB hubcap:

It measures 10.25" inside diameter (from lip inside to lip inside).
