Which MC 2100?

I'm running a 78 360 in my CJ and I want to install an MC 2100. Which one should I use, 1.08 or 1.21? I was going to look for one in the local junkyard and rebuild it if needed.

I think I read somewhere on this site that all Jeeps with the MC 2100 used the 1.08. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

 

In the Jeep shop manuals that I've read for '74 and '76 Jeeps, all 2 barrel V8's used the 1.08. I'm sure a 1.21 wouldn't hurt though.

 

x2 The factory is 1.08. IF you are running a cam or other performance mod, the 1.21 might open up a bit more potential.

I bought a new 2100 last spring as mine was a way older model and wasn't working quite right any longer. I found a guy in Colorado Springs who has a ton of em..He advised me on the proper carb and venturi for my motor and set the carb up to my spec's, as well as a fresh rebuild and calibration. I recall the price was under $200 My old carb was taken in for a core, as it was a venturi size he was short on..
