After researching, i couldn't find a clear enough answer to where to hook the air line from the booster to the manfold. I am running the stock 304 and need to know where to run the booster line to the manifold. Thanks in advance.

the vacuum comes right from the manifold usually with some kind of check valve. most times its the big port right under the carb...

On my intake i have a port on the carb itself which has a tube that runs and plugs into the back of the intake manifold. Other than that, there are no ports to plug into. would I be able to "T" off of that tube coming off of the carb? Its in the very center and bottom of the carb facing the firewall. (please excuse my ignorance, im still learning myself.)

There are two locations on the AMC V8 intake that could be used for vacuum-assisted power brakes. The usual location is in front of the carburetor - the engine should have a 3/8" diameter manifold vacuum port even if it came with manual brakes. There is a port behind the carburetor too. Both of these go directly into the manifold passages, and must either be plugged or be connected to something. These are 1/4" pipe thread (? - guessing) openings, and leaving them open to the air would create a huge vacuum leak.

Here's the front one on my CJ-5. I've taken over the 3/8" port for the PCV, but it would have been connected to the power brake booster if my Jeep had come with power brakes.

Thank you both for the input. My brake unit is in the mail as we speak so I think i will plumb me a line from that port sometime this week. Again, thanks.
