Military Re-enactors

    We went to a WWII re-enactment today. Saw some really impressive hardware out there.

    Just posting these for everyone to check out.

    I love how the re-enactors always have so much "stuff" on their Jeeps-guns, radios, ammo cans, etc etc etc...

    Here is a very short video that my girlfriend took during the battle scene. It is a P-51 Mustang making a run right across the crowd.

    It's a bit choppy, because that thing is moving much faster than it appears on the video.

    Actually thats an AT-6 Texan. They were used as trainer airplanes during WW2. Its common to paint them up to look like theater operating aircraft with markings to match. In this case it seems it was painted up to look the part of a navy dive bomber, hence the blue over grey paint scheme and large white star with blue roundel. At a glance it makes a convincing Dauntless dive bomber.
