I just got a new Omix instrument cluster and the fuel gage only has two posts not three as in the original version. The bus bar/strap is still wired in but I am not sure how to hook the new cluster up with respect to the fuel gage.

I cannot find another thread on a conversion. Anyone ever go from the three post to the twp post fuel gage? Advice?

We'll - I think I have this sorted out with the ignition wire on the I terminal and the sender wire on the S terminal. It seems to be working but...empty is the full read and full is the empty read. The gage is reversed from the original.

    Can I correct this?

Well I will refer you to the fuel sender genius Howard Eisenhaur who explains it very simply. The sender (tank) is like you say opposite for the Omix gauge. If you remove the sender from the tank then hold the float rod near the top with pliers, then twist the remainder of the float rod 180* (either way) as long as it is 180* then that will reverse your resistance readings and should correct your gauge reading.

I just went through this guage cluster issue and have a scematic of the cluster if I can figure how to attach to this thread. Which I cannot. I got it off this site so somewhone who knows how to post it can chime in. I was able to find a similar era cluster and bought 2 new guages that matched in arrangement. I think they were Omix. It all is in and working.
