34" tires on a lifted cj2a

i have super swamper tsl 34x9.5x15 on my 2a that has a fiberglass body and custom leaf spring suspension. I cannot comment on clearance since custom suspension. I can tell you that with the stock d27 axle your turning radius is affected greatly. I thought it was worse than a full size pickup. I have since went to other wider axles. About the tires. Mine are bias ply and get flat spotted over night, goes away after about 10 minutes of driving. Traction is mud -great, rocks - ok, deep snow - they dig in !!!, road - ok but noisey. Durability seems good, I have had mine 9 years and abused them, a few outer lugs are showing some signs of starting to tear from case but are hanging in there. I run them on a stock steel 15x7 wheel as low as 7 psi and have yet to pop a bead. They do have a tall sidewall that flexes alot and is a bit scary on side hills, although some could be my suspension. They look BAD and I get alot of comments on them.

 

Im running a d30 narrow track up front, so I do expect a decent turning radius. I get that with my other d30 equipped jeep on 35"s. These in a 32" or 33" sounds like the tire for me. Love the gnarly tread, pizza cutter look of these tires. Good info by the way. thanks.

 

agree go with them. i ran 33" with a 2 1/2" rancho and never had any problems. with all youve got it seems youd be fine.
