Sorry, I posted this in the tech section, but probably belongs down here.

    Hi,

Would anyone have information on these, or know where I could get some? This is in regards to a 1970 CJ5. I would like to know how many years this package was offered and if there was any designation by the serial number or SSO plate. An approximate total number of built would be helpful too.

    Thanks,
    Bill Norris

Sorry about the cross post. This is fine.

Thanks for the thread. Very very, interesting, but isn't specific enough to what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Bill,
Are you looking for information on Jeeps like the one Dave Hutson owns ?
    I believe his in particular was a 1970 ?
As I recall it has the Kelly half cab and was V-6 powered.
One unusual option on his was a set of jumpers under the hood.

I have never heard of a "Service Center Special" package as such.
It's obvious that optional service station equipment has a loooong history including other CJ models.
To be part of any package that equipment would have to be designated as "JEEP APPROVED SPECIAL EQUIPMENT".
    Example: the Canfield wrecker

My own jeep sports a deluxe half cab that was removed from a 1961 CJ-3B service station plow.

    Ken,

Yes, that is exactly the Jeep I'm referring to. We want to use it for our 2011 Jeep Calendar and I wanted to get more info on it.

    Thanks,
    Bill
