Why? Once it's sold and the cash is in my pocket I honestly could not care less what the new owner does with it. If you want it to be preserved sell it to a museum. You forfeit the right to be concerned about what the new owner does with it the moment the title is signed over to his name.

IT would bug me too. Even thoguh it was sold, there is still blood sweat and tears in a project. I saw my CJ5 getting hacked into a few months ago. Made me sad.

It makes my back hurt just thinking about the landing though. Good thing he has suspension seats...

If by suspension seats you mean the hammered factory buckets from my '89 YJ, then yes - I have suspension seats! :D

I want to know how long it took to get all the sand outta your teeth from the big grin whilst you were airborne

My memory really sucks lately. First I couldn't remember anything. Now it's like my mind just fills in the gaps with mis-information. It sucks getting old...I think I once had a very good memory, but I can't remember for sure.

Landings were fine. It was in the dunes and not landing on the flat. Hilarious having a pile like that in the air for so long, though.

Thinking of cutting it loose if a serious buyer comes along. If not, I'll hang on to it and keep thrashing. Would kinda like a FSJ Cherokee that'd fit the whole family, but if not this will do.

I Loved the shots of it airing out in the dunes. It really is too bad you sold it, I wanted to see how long it would have lasted in 2011... Oh well.

I didn't feel like I was done with it either. I only sold it to fund another Jeep purchase that'll fit my whole family. I already have a hardcore off-road Jeep (my flattie) and an intermediate (Wrangler) but those are 2- and 4-seaters, respectively. I have a wife and 3 kids, soooo.

If it were 2 or 3 years ago and the economy was better I could have afforded to keep it, but the business my wife and I own with 2 other business partners is owed a lot of money by our clients. Having to cover a lot of operational expenses ourselves - plus the loss of additional income. Sucks, but what can ya do?

I think only two of the rigs I've sold lately have stayed in California. My Ramcharger went to Tennessee, my CJ-6 to Florida, my M-715 to Connecticut (prepping for its new home on Martha's Vineyard), and the Comman D'oh is going to Oklahoma.

It's anywhere from $500-$1,500 to ship 'em depending on vehicle size and distance!
