    Got some paint sprayed today.
The weather this month has been cold so I could not spray the underside in the blast booth outside. So this was the time to clean out the shop. Dusted off the shelfs and all the machines, sweep and mop the floor. Put some tools into the shed and hang drop cloths.

The color is not right in this picture. Look at the next it is closer.

Took litle over a pint of paint for the underside.

Going to flip it over on saturday and pray the inside.
I still have a little body work before the outside gets painted.

The color of this paint is Viper Yellow.

I can't believe how different the color looks in those 2 pictures. Must be the light.

The color does not show up correctly because of the lighting in the shop.
Will get some good ones when I get it painted and out in the sun light.

Hope to get to the outside of the tube this coming weekend, I have 4 days off.

Still have the fenders, grill, and hood to do, just don't have the space in the shop to paint everything.

I really like that color. It's a good yellow.

Paint looked like it sprayed out well. What brand/type did you use?

I get my paint from a company called Smart Shopper. The kit I bought was about $78.00 plus shipping. It cam with a gallon of paint, 2 quarts of thinner, 1 pint of wet look hardner, stir sticks, strainers, masking tape, head sock, spray suit.

Here is a link to the paint I used. Thay also have basecoat/clearcoat paints
and all the body shop supplies you need.

outstanding!!.....Andrew one of the problems I found after spraying my tub was I got a little paint in the WS hinge threads, made it a pain to bolt them back in........do yourself a favor and run a tap through them before you install the hinges

Great project. Nice that you can share it with the neighbors. :)

I don't think I saw this in the previous posts, but where did you get the hat channels? I'm assuming you didn't use new wood inside the channels. Thanks.
