Last weekend went to the Iron Chest mine. A lovely trip to say the least! After decending the road I noticed a feature that seems to be new for the jeep. I started back up another road with CLOUDS of smoke from the right side pipe. Say what?? Ckecked things out, and definatly smoking on that side. Left side seems fine. I figure that now I will rebuild the other 225 and do a swap. This engine has been doing fairly well on the 30wt oil. Timing chain only rattles a little, at speed it even has 30 lbs of oil pressure. The batman smoke cloud is going a little too far! -Hill

Sounds like a head gasket blew on that side. :(

It does sound like a head gasket. Is the smoke white? If it is you might not have a real problem. Just replace the gasket.
If it is blue smoke , you may have a broken piston ring or some other $$ woes.
