    hey guys,
i just started back on my jeep. i looked underneath a while back and saw that when my dad put it together, he only put the body mounts on 1 side. thats nice considering i drove it in cali, arizona, oklahoma, tx, boston, maine and all over..
i have been trying to find a body mount kit with a 1" lift for the 68, but i cant find anything. does anyone have a book mark or some obscure book that i dont have? i would like to replace everything, bolts and all just to be safe.
    thanx peeps.

Maybe it was intentional? Evening up a jeep lean?

I'd advise against a body lift. Search - this has been covered before.

You can use sections of tire (that's what Jeep used).

On my 56 I used hockey pucks!
just drilled a hole in the middle and bolted them in.
mine had old tire like tim said, maybe 3/8" to 1/2" thick.
The new pucks were maybe 3/4" to 1" don't remember exactly.
Butt, I also put swinging pedals, so lifting the body 1/2" never was a problem.

The poly mounts are about a 1/2" more than the original tire tread mounts. That's about all you can do before you have to start cutting. I had to file a little on the bottom of the of the clutch and brake holes to make it work.:v6:

ok, well 1/2 inch is good enough for me. i have ordered longleafs from holbrook, i have a 1" shackle lift so it should give 4" with the springs and the shackel (modest) and i am going with 33"s so the new bushings sound good.

and there were no bolts on the passenger side at all, so i dont think it was intentional.
    =)
