Is the bolt pattern for a Dana 27 the same as a Dana 30? I need to get a new cover for my front diff. I went to hammer out a dent in it from the PO and went a bit too far and cracked it. The JB weld seems to be holding up okay but I really need to replace the entire cover.

You looknig for chromed Bling Bling or extra thick covers, or aluminum covers?? The stoc kcover should be fine.

If I can find a used finned Al cover I'd like to go that way. But the jeep does not need anything shiney if I can find a stock on Ebay I'd be quite happy.

The aluminum ones are nice, i do like the finned ones. Good thing bout those is that they are a bit deeper so there is more oil capacity in the axle

The problem w/chrome is that it holds heat. Unless you climb rocks, the stock should be fine.

  16. What do you think it would cost to chrome my grille?

  17. Hey Joel: Don't knock it. Chrome is really slick. Air flow would be better thru a chrome grill--thereby increasing cooling ability!! R) R)

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

in 1975, it cost $125 to do my grille
in 2000 I had it redone; cost $225

Brad: the mirror arms slide in and out; they are secured by set screws; easy to loosen and remove them if need be
I have never had to remove them for obstacles
