Well the grease worked!!! I got the bushing out. but now my question... The bushing has a flat side and a side that has a machined angle to it. the angle goes into the center of the bushing. Not a large angle mind you. But which side goes in the crank?? Flat side or angled side??

    Thanks!!!!

If the angle is to the pilot hole this is the side that is suppose to be visible when the pilot bushing is installed, it acts as a pilot for the tip of the transmission and a break for the corner of the transmission shaft to keep stress off the fillet between the tip and the shaft body where the splines are.

Thanks Mike!!!I kind of thoguht that, but then i also thought maybe it went into the bore so that removal would be easier.
