best place for replacement body panels?

Hi, been lurking here a bit, I may be getting a free 56 CJ5 although I think it may be a military model because it has a factory shackle reversal but I can't be totally sure yet as I have only seen a few pics. Anyways I know it has a good amount of rust on it so I was wondering who is good to deal with for replacement panels such as body sides, floor pans, and taillight panels? I'm looking for decent quality, good pricing and service. Its a real project so if I get it I am sure I'll be on here alot more with lots of questions.

    Txjake I wrenched with Sparky

Try Jeep Panels Plus, in Maine. Just got some of their floors for my 5 and they make nice stuff at a great price.

    O.K., I gotta bite-

If you're replacing the floors, the sides & back panels, what exactly are you planning on keeping???

I don't think anybody makes the side panels for an early 5, I looked before I couldn't find any :(.

You may be further ahead fixing the side panels, they usually a fixable without too much trouble, failing that I'd suggest either a new tub, or if thats too much $$$ keep you eyes open for a used tub, they show up with some regularity on Ebay & the Willys Tech sales board.

Post some pics & we may be able to give better advice.

For some idea of what you're letting yourself into have a look at my web page-

Hi thanks for the welcome and the tips on body parts, not sure what exactly I'll need yet but its good to know there are sources. I just put up as post over in in the intro section too but the condensed version is I have had more than a few jeeps, done quite a few restomod projects and have been looking for another one so I might end up with this 56. I have not seen it in person yet, just some pretty bad emailed pics, gonna check it out Wednesday so I'll know more then. It looks to be a pretty big project. I just asked what was available so I would have some ideas, if it is a flat panel or not too complex I will probably make it up myself and weld it in. I really cant spring for a new tub and will probably be modifying this too much to use a nice original tub so I am thinking of doing some cutting and patching to get it presentable and then take it from there. I am kind of torn how to go with it, part of me wants to box it, stretch it, go SOA on YJ or XJ springs, swap in 44s or 60s, and a whole new drivetrain and wheel the heck out of it but another part wants to keep it close to stock with some reasonable upgrades and just have fun. Guess I'll have to see how bad of shape its really in before I decide. Anyways thanks again for the names of suppliers and I'll psot back after I see it in person and get some better pics.
