Anyone know what rims and tires were stock for a 1966 cj5 with the v6?
It has 15 inch rims on it now, but all the part suppliers sell is that 600 x 16 rim.

    any info is welcome
    thanks

'69 came stock with 8.55 x 15, pretty safe bet '66 would be 15 also.

Brad Rabideau more Jeeps than sense...

Stock would have been 5.5 x 15 with Goodyear Suburbanite Bias-ply in something like size 78x15 (roughly 235/75/15). All the rims on my Jeeps are stock and thats what they are. I use to have one of the old Suburbanites laying around, but its gone now, so I can't check.

Do a search, I know its been talked about before.

Later in the seventies Jeeps came with G78-15 with H78-15 as an upgrade. Those being Goodyear Surburbanites and later Surburbanite XG. I think that translates to 205 and 215 in metric size IIRC. Gotta go with Glenn is right about 8.55 being stock in 69.

Got a stock for a spare on my '60 cj5. Tire is 700x15 ( or so it says on the side.) bead is either 5.5 or 6 inches, but I would have to dismount the tire to see.:) :coffee:
