53"? thats CJ narrow track width.

 

Not sure what the new axle came out of, the guy I got it from had it laying in his field beside a bunch of other junk... Those measurements are from the axle flange to flange.

Alrighty so here is engine #4 (had to go back through the thread and count )that is going in....one in it now smokes too much for my likin... This ones not much to look at right now, need to clean it up...but I actually got reciepts on this one being built and drove it before pulling so I know this one is good

Got some new gauges installed...need to find the right ohm fuel gauge to replace the one stock gauge left



Engine no. 4 installed...I even cleaned and painted up all ugly like

 

Replaced the bent tie rod



Some new seat covers to protect it while its stored outside

Made a little rack in the back behind the radiator to keep a cooler and toolbox on. Just need to find a piece of expanded and bolt it on then paint it all. The battery is mounted underneath it with a little room for another small box. Just ignore my fancy overflow bottle
