In a couple of weeks, I'll be doing a full brake job on the CJ. (Haven't had to do one since '97) Looking thru Krage's, I come up with $417 (plus shipping ) for 4- drums, 4- wheel cylinders, front/ rear shoes and a master cylinder. How does this compare to your FLAPS? Any experience with Krage's brake parts? Quality? TIA

Just curious, are you sure it needs 4 drums all the way around? I would have the drums checked first before ordering any new ones. That would save ya quite a bit.

Already considered that. Had all four drums turned during the last brake job, so I would just as soon replace them this time around.

Drums can be turned many times before they have to be replaced, have someone measure them and see if there's enough meat left on them to turn them again.

I would try a local auto parts store for comparison to save on shipping. But then we're lucky enough to have a one that doesn't look at you funny if you want something for an antique.
