Rancho 9000 Color?

9000s are gloss white bodies ( cans) with red boots and red poly bushings. and have a decal that you stick on em if you want. at least that is what mine look like and the only way i have seen em.

Hmm I just spent part of yesterday removeing the boots from my ranchos and painting them black so they would look more like stock shock. Mike

My Heckathorns already have drain holes molded into them, the white paint on my shocks has been there for 12 years and still cleans up pretty good. Now my Rancho steering unit isn't made quite as nice as the Heckathorns but back then the Rancho's were considered cheaper units.

 

Somewhere around 2500-4000 miles worth of actual trail use, you thought you were gonna get a good answer on that one, I actually bought my Jeep for hunting and farm use, believe me its had its butt 2' deep in good old fashioned muck alot of times, its even pulled our old John Deere and Ford 2N out of the mud several times.
Mike to be truthfully honest my Jeep has probably seen more trail and mud use than most of the Jeeps on this board simply cause it was used in hunting management areas that are alot like Tellico and Windrock I would drive 50 miles to them and then put 15-50 miles in the back country driving down 60 year old logging roads and horse trails that very few people use not to mention TVA land that is open to the public and never sees use. I just didn't use it on organized runs like we do at Tellico, but its stretched alot of fence, pulled fenceposts, heck I even used it to drag a hay field and loaded hay wagons with hay and drug the wagons home up hills and across creeks.

I bought some RS 9000's lately and didn't use the shock boots...let me know if you want 'em. Think I still got the stickers too...hafta check.

My feelings are, if you're not collecting advertising fees, Don't flaunt the stuff. But I do like quality parts.

 

I feel the same way, thought I was the only one! I used to wear lots of Harley t-shirts & etc., not any more. They'd have to pay me now. I'm not real keen on wearing anybody's company name, period. Unless they're family or a friend.

Steve - you know I was just joking with the poser comment - I think white looks pretty slick myself - but it does get grimy pretty quick. Gray or black will would be lower maintenance. I think I have 3 stickers - one ended up on the tool box.
