i have a mint 3.8 fuel injected motor that i was think of putting in my flatfender, i have the factory 3.8 wiring harness, a bellhousing, flywheel, pressure plate all from a 67, can this swap be done. i hate to get rid of the motor but dont want to invest a ton when i can get a 4.3 for short change, thanks jason.

    FWD?

It's doubtful you can use it unless Novak has their adaptor done for FWD V6's. If it could be easily done or done at all you'd read about PLENTY of FI Buick V6's in Jeeps.

Hence the reason for the 4.3 swap in so many cases. RWD FI V6...

I believe you also would need the correct flywheel or yours balanced to the even fire engine, as I believe yours to be odd fire.

True but it's a moot point in light of what I pointed out.

About 10 years ago I was on a trailride and saw a flatfender with this swap. It was a 3.8 that had come out of a front wheel drive GM car. I don't know what he had for a tranny. I know that the thing really honked. It had instantaneous throttle response and could spin all 4 tires (33x12.50) with ease. Sorry I can't help you with specifics other than it was pretty cool.

Eric's a member here but he's not been around lately. Only thing I know to do is check their website or fire an email his way from the website.
