The Arctic top has a lot of value on its own. Looks like a great deal for someone.

This one looks like it might be clean and solid. I think the M38 is the best of the flat-fenders (maybe tied with 3B?), but that vertical windshield frame for the Arctic top just ruins the lines.

I based my comments on two other factors; coming from Colorado where most of the clean old Jeeps are from, and it had a hard top that usually keeps the floors from rusting out. I’ll stand by my comment, but I could be wrong.

Right off, 64,000 miles is a LOT for a military, which usually were "surplused" at 25K. And a lot for any L-134. Has the engine been fully rebuilt? What was its history? Plow vehicles etc get pounded mechanically. Don't be fooled by fresh OD paint.

I'd want to know if it is still 24v volt equipped with the OEM waterproofed systems. Extremely good quality, although expensive to source.

A friend of mine got one for $500.00 when we were juniors in high school...late '67. Very original and complete, and a driver....it didn't need any work. I was amazed by it. I'd never seen a waterproof electrical system until he opened the hood. Around here during those times there were small car lots all over the place and a lot of them had old 2A's or 3A's, mainly at the beginning of hunting season.

If I was looking I would be very interested in it. It does seem to be in really good shape but..... if that light green is primer (it's gotta be) then frame off restoration doesn't match what I see.

I think it was going to be a frame off.

No I had first shot at it and decided it was much more work than I was willing to take on. He had parts spread out all over the rental garage space. The drivetrain was not restored and would need to be gone through. The paint "needed another coat" per the seller. The driver's side door need aluminum work at the striker location.

There was definitely some value there and I think he was second owner with a title which is REALLY cool but ultimately with what running flatties are going for, I decided to search for a running one vs. taking on that project. I obviously regret it now that I cant have it :D
