Over the weekend I scored a Ramsey MX200R pto winch (with CJ mounting cradle) for my M38A1.
It's in okay shape not horrible...just used. The next step is to knock out some maintenance (lubrication mainly) and maybe a coat of paint. Then I'll get it installed on the jeep.

Once that is done I can install my PTO and work on my shaft routing....I need to rebuild the PTO first

In 2020 I had found a king 100 pto winch but couldn't ever figure out a good mounting solution for it...due to its height.

    thanks. It's quite the setup.
I started soaking all the bolts in PB.
Tomorrow I have a few hours before work I can start breaking everything apart to clean and inspect.

thanks, that's exactly why the Ramsey is a good match versus the original King I purchased which is pretty tall be comparison. I like how it mounts low into the frame.

I wish I could see the full size pics but for some reason when I click photos abot 90% of the time I get told:

I have same winch that I am installing on my ‘64 CJ5. Did you finish your install and did you have any problems with PTO shaft hitting the steering bell crank. Have any photos of the finished installation?

I was having the same issue. Was told it's a common issue with new users, has to do with post counts, which IIRC "40" is the magic number. There's a thread on it-
